Chicken Wings with Honey Chilli

Ingredients
 

  • 1 tablespoon Blue Band
  • 200 gram Blue Band
  • 250 gram chicken wings boiled
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water for sauce
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • 2 cups chilled water
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  1. Prepare the chicken wings: In a bowl, marinate the chicken wings in lemon juice, salt and pepper and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a medium sized pot, add a tablespoon of Blue Band margarine, the ginger and garlic, red chili flakes, honey, vinegar and water. Stir well and cook on a low heat until the sauce thickens.
  3. In a separate bowl, add the flour, corn flour, salt and pepper and mix well. Now dip the marinated chicken wings in the flour mixture, dip them in cold water and then coat them again with the flour mixture.
  4. Melt 200g of Blue Band margarine in a wok or frying pan and deep fry the wings until golden brown. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken wings to serve.
